About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and PARADOX DYNAMICS LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17143231, registered office 6 Whitehey, Skelmersdale, England, WN8 8AQ. They apply when you use Kaayi on the web or on your phone. By creating an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

• You need to be 18 or over to use Kaayi.
• Use your own name and an email address you can receive mail at. Each account is for one person.
• Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Your data

What you enter in Kaayi is yours. You allow us to store it and work with it only to run Kaayi for you and the people you share with. You can download a copy whenever you like (Account → Download a backup).

Sharing

You can share a single debt or income source with other people. Those you share with can see that item, and, if you let them edit, change it. Only the owner can delete an item. You’re responsible for who you invite, and you should only add someone’s details if they’re happy for you to.

Not financial advice

Kaayi’s balances, plans, dates and suggestions are calculations based on what you enter. They may not match your lender’s own figures, and they can’t take everything about your situation into account. We aren’t a lender, bank, broker or financial adviser, and Kaayi doesn’t give regulated financial advice. Check anything important with your lender, or a qualified adviser, before acting on it. Decisions about your money are yours.

Using Kaayi fairly

Please don’t:

• use Kaayi for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone;
• try to reach other people’s data, or get around Kaayi’s security or limits;
• overload or attack the service, or create accounts automatically;
• copy or take apart Kaayi’s software, except where the law allows it.

Price

Kaayi is free to use. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll tell you first, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Kaayi running smoothly and its calculations right, but we provide it as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable or have mistakes. So keep your own copy of anything important. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever stop offering Kaayi, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice, so you can download your data.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Kaayi (Account → Delete my account). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why first.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or are careless, we’re responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable. Kaayi is for personal use, so we’re not responsible for any business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. These terms don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.

If you got Kaayi from the App Store

Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple isn’t responsible for Kaayi or for supporting it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in Kaayi or by email before it takes effect. If you don’t agree with a change, you can delete your account.
